Thomas Stanley Holland, born June 1, 1996, better known as Tom Holland, is a popular English actor and dancer. He began his acting career on the stage for ‘West End’ from 2008-2010 for the role of ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’. Tom Holland later got recognition after receiving the London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performance of the Year, for his role in the 2012 film ‘The Impossible’ which happened to be his film debut.

Early Life and Education
Tom Holland was born on 1 June 1996 as Thomas Stanley Holland. He is 26 years of age. He was born and brought up in a well-settled family from Kingston upon Thames in south west London, England to photographer Nicola and Dominic Holland, a comedian and author.
He completed his schooling at Donhead which was an all-male Catholic preparatory school in Wimbledon, south west London. When he was seven, he was diagnosed with dyslexia.
His parents sent him and his brothers (to avoid making them feel neglected) to a private school so he could get the necessary attention. Although Holland liked the new school, this started to drain his family’s finances.
Holland gained admission into Wimbledon College, a voluntary aided Jesuit comprehensive school, and thereafter, attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon.
He also has three younger siblings. He has three brothers, Twins Harry Holland & Sam Holland, out of which Harry is also an English actor. His last brother Patrick is just 13 years old.
Career
In London, Tom Holland began his career as a dancer. He began dancing at Nifty Feet Dance School in Wimbledon, London, where he learned Hip-Hop.
He made his Broadway debut in ‘Billy Elliot the Musical.’ In September 2008, he gave his first television interview, alongside co-star Tanner Pflueger. This was broadcast on channel ‘FIVE.’
Tom also appears on ITV’s ‘The Feel Good Factor.’ On January 31, 2009, he and two other main characters performed a version of ‘Angry Dance’ from ‘Billy Elliot the Musical.’ Tom also taught a dance routine to five British schoolboys.
On March 8, 2010, he was invited to 10 drowning Street to meet Gordon Brown, the then-Prime Minister, to commemorate the 5th anniversary of ‘Billy Elliot the Musical.’ He played three more roles before wrapping up on May 29, 2010.
In 2010, he made his feature film debut in J.A.Bayona’s ‘The Impossible,’ which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was a critical and commercial success. This was Tom’s first life-changing event.
In 2011, he appeared in the British dub of Japan’s Studio Ghilbi’s animated fantasy film ‘Arrietty.’ He also provided the voice for the main character, ‘Sho.’
On June 23, 2015, he officially tweeted that he will play the teenage role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man as part of a six-picture deal with Marvel Studios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also known as the MCU. This was his second life-changing event.
In 2016, he played the character ‘Bradley Baker’ in the film ‘Edge of Winter.’ He also appeared in the film ‘A Monster Call.’ In 2017, he co-starred in the James Gray-directed drama film ‘The Lost City of Z,’ as well as the critically acclaimed films ‘Pilgrimage’ and ‘The Current War.’
In May 2017, he also appeared in Paramount Network’s ‘Lip Sync Battle’ and danced to Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella.’ ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming,’ starring om as the superhero ‘Spider-Man,’ was released in July 2017.
This performance earned him a place in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ as the youngest actor to play a role in the MCU, as well as a lot of praise.
On April 27, 2018, he was seen reprising his role as Spider-Man in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ followed by ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home,’ which was released on July 2, 2019, was a huge success.

Tom Holland has described himself as a private person and is reluctant to discuss his personal life in public.
In November 2021, he began a relationship with his Spider-Man co-star, Zendaya. He thought the media attention to their relationship breached their privacy.
The pair was also spotted holding hands in March 2022 after leaving the premiere of Holland’s film ‘Uncharted.’
Holland discussed having sleep paralysis nightmares of paparazzi in his bedroom.
