Early Life and Education
Sola Allyson Obaniyi was born in the early 1970s in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Her educational journey began at Anglican Primary School, Ikorodu, for her primary education.
She then proceeded to Shams-el-deen Grammar School, Ikorodu, for her secondary education. Later, she pursued Business Studies at Government Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja, earning an NBTE Certificate.
In 1997, Sola Allyson gained admission to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where she focused on Music Technology, specializing in Voice, and minoring in Music.

The turning point in her career occurred when she had a chance encounter with a man carrying a movie script while on a public bus. This man struck up a conversation with Allyson and shared details about a recently concluded film shoot titled “Orekelewa.”
He invited Allyson to contribute her vocals as a soundtrack for the film, which eventually led to the film’s title being changed to “Eji Owuro.”
When “Eji Owuro” the film was released, it was decided to create a full music album to accompany it. This album enjoyed immense commercial and critical success, catapulting Sola Allyson into the music industry.
