Early Life and Education
Tracy Kirabo was born on November 8, 1996, in Uganda’s Gomba District. After losing her mother at just two years old, she was raised by her aunt in Buziga.
Despite facing early adversity, Pia showed a deep love for music and dance from a young age. She worked various odd jobs to support her schooling and musical ambitions.
She began her music career at 14 while still in high school but paused to complete her education before returning to music during university.
Career
Pia Pounds launched her music career in 2011 with the single “Just the Way You Are,” featuring Ragga Dee. After taking a break to focus on her studies, she returned to the music scene in 2017.
In 2018, she signed with Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Entertainment and released hits like “Tubawe” and “Wawangula.” By 2019, she became an independent artist, establishing Pia Pounds Limited and co-founding the African Bureau of Music (ABM).
