Early Life and Education
Born on the 6th of June, 1988 in Mundemba, Cameroon, Ngwane Hansel is the eldest of five children to Pan-Africanist Mwalimu George Ngwane.
His knack for comedy emerged at age 10 through imitating family members. His interest in comedy deepened by watching shows like “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, “Some Mothers do Have ’em” and “The Cosby Show”.
Hansel pursued higher education at the University of Buea, Cameroon, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration in 2011, followed by a master’s degree in Digital Media and Communication.
Career
Hansel’s comedy career took off at 17 with impressions at his high school graduation. While at university, he launched his own stand-up show and later hosted “The Meet Hansel Show” on TV.
2012 saw him organize his first full stand-up show, “It’s About Time.” He then founded Zumhoo Studio Works, where he created the comedy news show *The Good, The Bad, The Funny,* and starred in/executive produced/wrote the short film “Damaru.”
