Early Life and Education
Born the fourth of seven children in a faith-filled Zimbabwean family, Mahendere grew up surrounded by musical siblings like brothers Akim, Misheck, and Amos.
He kicked off his music journey at age seven in 1990, forming the Mahendere Brothers, whose 1994 debut album Mwari Mukuru dominated Southern African charts by the time he was 11.
