Kunle Iyiola Afod was born in Lagos on October 24, 1973. He is the eldest of four siblings. Although he was brought up in Lagos, his roots trace back to Ibadan in Oyo State, located in the southwestern region of Nigeria, predominantly inhabited by the Yoruba people.
