Izuchukwu Ojukwu, better known as Izu Ojukwu, is a Nigerian film director, scriptwriter, editor, and cinematographer. He is best known for his Nigerian historical fiction drama film ‘76, which was produced in 2016.

Early Life and Education
Izuchukwu Ojukwu is the fourth child born into a big 20-child polygamous family. He attended school and grew up in Jos.
He started learning filmmaking in college, at St. John’s College in Jos. He had been earning a living by painting and drawing up to that point. He therefore developed independence from a young age.
Later, he developed an obsession with photography and movies and started to envisage a future in both fields.
To obtain books on film production, particularly from the National Film Institute, Jos, he started going to the city’s national and state libraries.
Career
Izu Ojukwu inadvertently set the pace for his career during the 1980s while engaging in this activity for a number of years.
Additionally, after becoming acquainted with the projector operator, he went to the movies to view Chinese and Indian movies in the projection room.
After that, he built a projector using the theatre sample as inspiration and screened movies from his father’s garage.
