Born Adetokunbo Olufela Durotoye on May 12, 1971, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, he is the son of professors Layiwola and Adeline Durotoye.
His family relocated to Ile-Ife in 1972, where he attended Obafemi Awolowo University Staff Children’s School and later Moremi High School.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Economics and an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, as well as executive education credentials from Harvard Kennedy School, Yale University, and Lagos Business School.
Career
Durotoye started his career in 1992 as a financial analyst with Ventures & Trusts Limited and later managed customer service at Phillips Consulting Limited in 1998.
In 2000, he founded V.I.P Consulting Limited, which evolved into Visible Impact Limited, focusing on leadership and social enterprise initiatives. He has been a keynote speaker and facilitator both in Africa and internationally.
