Early Life and Education
Eleanor was born on 24 February 1989 at Sir Albert Cook Mengo Hospital in Kampala, Uganda, to Rev. Dr. Kefa Sempangi and Jane Frances Nakamya.
She is the third child out of five siblings. Her father is a retired politician who founded the Presbyterian Church in Uganda and was notably involved in ministry work for street children during the early 1970s.
She attended Namagunga Girls’ Primary School for her primary education, then completed her O-Level and A-Level studies at Seeta High School Mukono. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University.

Eleanor’s media career began while she was still in school when she hosted a weekend TV program called K-Files on WBS TV.
She became well-known for playing Hope in the popular Ugandan TV drama The Hostel. Aside from acting, she has taken on producing and directing roles.
