Dr. Simon Harry Biography
Dr. Simon Harry is the Statistician-General of the Federation and heads the National Bureau of Statistics. He was appointed to head the National Bureau of Statistics in August 2021. Dr. Simon was appointed the new statistician general of the Federation.

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Simon Harry to head the National Bureau of Statistics.
Dr. Harry Simon will succeed Dr. Yemi Kale, who stepped down after his second tenure expired on August 16, 2021.
Dr. Harry is now the Director, Corporate Planning and Technical Coordination Department of NBS, with up to three decades of statistical experience.
He joined the Federal Office of Statistics as Statistician 11 in 1992 before he was elevated to the position of a substantive Director of Statistics in 2019.
