Early Life and Education
Born on August 18, 1990, in Douala, Cameroon, Daniel Nsang is the second youngest of four siblings from the Bassa ethnic group.
After completing his Baccalauréat C, he pursued civil engineering studies at the university level. However, he decided to leave his studies to follow his passion for acting and film after four years. He is professionally trained as a building engineer.
Career
Daniel began his professional journey as a model, winning the 12th edition of the Challenge Vacances competition in 2017. His transition into acting was facilitated by filmmaker Abdou Zoé when he joined the
Black Films production company in 2018. Under the mentorship of directors Stéphane Jung and Cynthia Élisabeth Ngono, he honed his skills in acting and screenwriting.
His acting debut came in 2018 with Stéphane Jung’s film Fantasma. In 2019, he gained further recognition as co-writer and lead actor in Trauma, directed by Cynthia Élisabeth Ngono, which won Best Cameroonian Feature at the 2019 Festival Écrans Noirs.
He also starred in the 2020 film Irrational Love, a collaboration between directors Konrad M. Defang and Gabi Ruben Ngounou.
His breakthrough role came with the TV series Madame… Monsieur (2020–2022), where he portrayed Piwole across three seasons. The series was awarded Best TV Series at Canal 2’Or 2021. In 2024, he took on the role of Tètè in the series Ewusu.
