China Anne McClain was born on August 25, 1998. She was born and raised in a well-established Christian family in Decatur, Georgia, USA. She is of American nationality and follows the Christian faith.
She finished her primary and secondary education at Oak Park High School in Decatur, Georgia, USA.
She later enrolled at a local university in Georgia, the United States, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She was more interested in extracurricular activities than in school from the beginning of her childhood.

Movie Career
China Anne’s career started in 2005 when she performed a song from ‘Spy Kids 2’ as Ian Burke, a family friend visited them in their house for a dinner.
Ian was stunned and he made a phone call to a director named Rob Hardy who was searching for a young girl who could sing and act to play Alexis in his upcoming film, The Gospel.
China Anne had her 1st audition with Rob Hardy and discovered months later that she was chosen to play the character, Alexis thus making her movie debut at just seven years old.
China Anne’s sisters, Sierra Aylina McClain and Lauryn Alisa McClain, also appeared in the Children’s Gospel Choir scene of the movie.
Since filming The Gospel, China Anne has continued to audition for casting directors in Georgia, North Carolina, Illinois and California.
Tyler Perry was drawn to the role and cast her in the TV series ‘Tyler Perry’s House of Payne’ without hesitation.
She appeared in a park scene playing with a dog and in an after school scene of the film, Madea’s Family Reunion. She was also interviewed by Jacque Reid at BET on the red carpet at The Gospel premiere in Atlanta, Georgia.
In the next few years. China garnered guest roles in popular TV shows like ‘NCIS’ and ‘Hannah Montana’ before featuring in the Adam Sandler blockbuster, ‘Grown-Ups‘; and the 2010 Forest Whitaker starrer, ‘Hurricane Season‘.
Music Career
China’s music prowess is what semms to have activated her her acting and overall entertainment career. In 2011, China McClain took on the lead role of Chyna Parks in the Disney Channel series, ‘A.N.T Farm‘.
Besides singing the series theme song, she also recorded a cover of Taio Cruz’s ‘Dynamite’. The song peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s ‘Kid Digital Songs’ chart and the soundtrack album for ‘A.N.T. Farm’ peaked at No. 29 on ‘Billboard 200’, redefining the common perception and establishing McClain as a singer to reckon with.
In the same year, ‘McClain Sisters’, the band she had co-founded with her sisters way back in 2004, got a big break when Hollywood Records signed them up. The trio released their first solo single under the Hollywood Records label in 2012.
The song, titled ‘Go‘, was well-received by the critics, who compared the McClain Sisters’ evocative vocals to the likes of Rihanna and Jonas Brothers – a staggering achievement considering that they were adolescents at the beginning of their music career.
