Early Life and Education
Born in Benue State, Nigeria on October 10, 2000, Berri Tiga first went to school in his home state. He later continued his education at French Village International College in Badagry, Lagos State, where he even earned a diploma in French.
Career
In 2016, Berri Tiga started making music by singing popular songs and sharing them online. His talent got noticed, and in 2021, he signed with Big Brother Management record label. It was the song “Machala” with Efe Carter in 2022 that really pushed him into the spotlight.
This tribute to Wizkid became a giant hit with fans and even topped the Apple Music Nigeria charts as well as cementing a spot in the US Afrobeat Billboard.
Unfortunately, In August 2022, “Machala” was removed from streaming services for a while due to a disagreement about who owned the song and how the money should be shared. But don’t worry, thanks to an agreement, it’s back for everyone to enjoy again!
