Born on February 23, 1993, in Kyenjojo near Fort Portal, Uganda, Beenie Gunter developed an early interest in music, inspired largely by his late brother, Beenie Venture, who introduced him to Jamaican music. He began pursuing music during his school years and attended St. Mary’s Kitende.
Career
Beenie Gunter launched his music career in 2013 with the single No Offence, produced by Emon from South Side Studios and released under Jahlovd Label. After stints with Savvy Music and Stain Records, he established his own label, Guntalk City Movement.
His career breakthrough came with the No Offence remix featuring Sheebah Karungi. Since then, he has released numerous popular tracks and his debut album No Fear in 2019, collaborating with artists such as Skales and Lydia Jazmine.
