In a stunning turn of events, Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer and popular TikTok personality from Abuja, Nigeria, has been taken into custody after being discovered with the decapitated head of his girlfriend in a nylon bag. The arrest took place near a church in Orozo, Abuja, on January 12, 2025.
Ajayi, originally from Kabba in Kogi State, was apprehended by churchgoers during a Sunday service. The victim, who had been in a relationship with Ajayi for about a year, had traveled from another location to visit him. Reports indicate that Ajayi claimed a heated argument led to her death, after which he dismembered her body to dispose of the remains. Other parts of her body were found at his residence.
The incident has triggered widespread shock and outrage, with many expressing disbelief over Ajayi’s previous motivational content on TikTok. As of now, Nigerian authorities have not released an official statement regarding the case.
