Early Life and Education
Bala Mohammed was born into a modest family in Duguri Town, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
He began his education at Duguri Primary School (1965–1971) before attending Government Secondary School, Bauchi (1972–1976), where he earned his West African Senior Certificate.
He proceeded to North-East College of Arts and Science for his Advanced Level Certificate (1977–1979). In 1982, he graduated from the University of Maiduguri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
