Mourinho wants to sign zlatan

Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho is poised to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Tottenham Hotspurs as he build the team to win silverware.

According to the Telegraph, the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager has told chairman Daniel Levy that he doesn’t need to break the bank in order to bring silverware to the north London club.

During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Mourinho expressed his admiration for the squad he has just inherited.

“I told them that one of the reasons why I decided to come [to Spurs] was them,” he said.

“I tried to buy some of them for different clubs and I couldn’t. Some of them I didn’t even try because you know how impossible it is.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic worked with Mourinho at Man United and is available after leaving LA Galaxy.

The 38-year-old Swedish striker maintains a good relationship with Mourinho – and respects him immensely.

Ibrahimovic netted 28 goals in 46 appearances for Man United and would be a class addition to the Tottenham squad.
