Professor Wole Soyinka and Shehu Sani are among the dignataries present in the continuation of trial of the leader of the RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and co-defendant Olawale Bakare.

Nigerian Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka and former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani arrived the Federal High Court in Abuja, few minutes before Omoyele Sowore showed up. 

Sowore who was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on August 3 ahead of a nationwide protest, is standing trial on seven counts of treasonable felony, fraud, cyber-stalking and insulting the president.

Omoyele Sowore was later released after spending 124 days in the DSS custody and was later rearrested inside the Federal High Court just 24 hours after his release.

Following the outrage that trailed his rearrest, he was released on December 24, 2019.

Meanwhile today is the continuation of his trial and Professor Wole Soyinka and Shehu Sani are present in court.
