Contrary to the general perception that Nurses in Ghana have a secured job and are well paid by the government, a musician who doubles as a nurse, KD Bakes has debunked that.

The rising Afrobeats artiste KD Bakes says the profession is one of the currently underpaid jobs in Ghana.

Speaking to Ghanaweb in an interview, he said:

“Nurses are among the average paid workers in the country but not among the well-paid staffs”

He was speaking to the host of Showbiz Trendz on Ghanaweb, Bernice Owusuwaa.

The ‘Carry Me Away’ single hitmaker maintained that the government sacks nurses when they go contrary to Ministry of Health code of conduct.

“When I hear people say, nurses are rude and not doing well because they a secured job, I laugh. It’s not true; In my hospital, if you mess up, you get fired”, he explained.

KD Bakes is known for his afrobeat song he titled ‘Carry Me Away’ produced by LayKay, he was recently in South Africa to shoot music videos for collaborative songs with an SA artiste.

A month ago, the singer released a very anticipated tune which has been topping a lot of music charts and getting aficionados of good music hooked with the recent one by superstar Fancy Gadam.

Looking at the energy, creativity and sumptuous vibes laid on display by KD Bakes at the scene, this is a strong pronouncement of his level of artistry in the game.
