Nigerian rapper Sauce Kid is out of prison after serving his twenty months in imprisonment and has revealed that he wrote over 300 songs while in jail.

Since his release the elite rapper has been trying to get back and settle into the music hustle as he was once a favourite some years back before he fell off.

Sauce Kid who got signed to one of Nigeria’s hottest record label DMW recently has granted his first official interview since becoming a free man.

During his interview, he acknowledged that Nigerian music has gotten a wider reach because he was able to access Nigerian music from inside the prison facility.

The rapper said he spent all his prison allowance of $16 on purchasing new music. He admitted a lot of things have changed about our music especially Afrobeats.

He further mentioned that one positive thing about his jail time was that he had all the time to write his songs. During his 20 months incarceration he was able to write over 300 songs.

He also said he could put out 5 mixtapes ‘now’ if he wanted to.
