Fuel scarcity looms in Nigeria as oil workers plan to embark on strike
Nigerians are about to face fuel scarcity as oil workers under Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria plan to embark on strike.
According to a reports, the workers were ordered by the association to leave their duty posts.
This was disclosed in a letter signed by the General Secretary, PENGASSAN, Lumumba Okugbawa, on Sunday 8 November. The letter was also copied to the Central Working Committee members of the association.
Okugbawa said the strike action is to kick against the failure of the government to make make move in regards the differences between PENGASSAN and the government on matters bordering on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.
However, the government is yet to reacts to the situation.
